Self Introduction

Hello, welcome to my website! Here’s a little bit about myself.

My name is Darrell Goh Rui Jie, an undergraduate student at the National University of Singapore (NUS). I am studying Mechanical Engineering with a specialisation in Aeronautical Engineering, under the prestigious NUS Engineering Scholars Programme, also known as E-Scholars. Under this programme, I will be graduating with a Bachelor of Engineering Degree with Honours in July 2024, within an accelerated 3 year timeline, followed by a Master of Science degree in NUS in the following year.

In my time in university, I have actively participated in my student community and contributed much to NUS and Residential College 4 (RC4), where I stay during the semester. As the Head of RC4 Coffee Academy, a student-run interest group, I have honed my leadership skills while managing the overall administration and finances of the club. My time as Welfare Co-Head in the Ursa House Committee in RC4 has also allowed me to serve the student community’s needs through our activities and giveaways. By keeping my feet on the ground and engaging with my peers and Fellows around me, I am able to stay empathetic with the needs of our community, which would serve well for me after graduation and trying to find meaningful ways to impact the world positively.

Outside of my schoolwork and my obligations, I also take time for myself to play sports that I like such as Spikeball, Tchoukball and Basketball, developing my interests in coffee-making and learning about new technologies, and spending time with my loved ones.
